Dong Ho painting originates from Dong Ho Village, Bac Ninh Province in the north of Viet Nam. Craftsmen create Dong Ho pictures of different themes from historical figures and everyday activities to folk allegories. The prints are made with traditional điệp paper and colors derived from nature.
In the past, Dong Ho painting was a “must-have” of every Vietnamese household during the Tet holiday (Vietnamese Lunar New Year). Yet, this tradition has faded gradually since the advent of modern arts and fake Dong Ho products.
Come to our 7th Annual Benefit Event and bring home this beautiful arts collection to relive the traditional culture of Viet Nam… or just simply to refresh some corner of your house.
