Tyler Du Lam (Treasurer)

Tyler Loc DuLam was born and raised in Da Lat, Viet Nam. He and his family moved to the United States in the early 80’s. Tyler has been involved in community service since 1993. While attending the University of Washington, he joined the Greater Seattle Viet Nam Association (GSVA) Board of Directors to promote positive relationships and mutual understanding between the people of Greater Seattle and the people of Viet Nam. He later joined the Board of Directors for Asian Pacific AIDS Council (APAC), an organization dedicated to providing culturally relevant, language accessible services and education to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, and to assist those who are HIV+ or living with AIDS.

In 2000, Tyler was invited to be a Board member for International Community Health Services (ICHS), and has since held various executive positions; including, Board President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Tyler’s involvement with VNSF started during the early stages of its creation. Along with 3 other co-founders, they worked diligently to establish VNSF’s 501(c) (3) status and identity, marketing materials, scholarship program, and fund-raising. Tyler later resigned as a Board member but continued to support VNSF in an advisory role.

Tyler has a finance background and currently holds a Master in Business Administration. He has worked for major government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He currently works for the University of Washington.
